As far as I know the Shader Effector will only accept image formats (obj is an object format). Probably best to post your basic scene file set up as far as you've gotten.

You can calm it down by changing some of the Sound Effector parameters. For example, set the sample mode to Average, raise the falloff setting (with Apply Mode All), and adjust the filter shape spline

The Bulge Deformer would probably work well for that.

Yep, you lack a click. Go to the pyro material's shape tab and check the "Use Particle TM" box. From the help file: Use Particle TM If you enable this option, PyroCluster will use the particle s trans
Cinema 4D bugs that never got resolved?

If the object has a normals tag you'll have to delete it.

Hey Adam, thanks again for all the help, Im almost there. It is working fine now but I tried to just pull your setup into my project and it is not emitting. Have any ideas why that would be?

Hey Adam, I am having so much trouble with this plugin. The render time is insane and it is not covering the parking lot, no matter how many particles or how long. The file example you shared does not open in R14, it says it has incorrect file structure. I am willing to pay you for all of the exact settings you used and any advice you might have on what to play with. I have been pulling my hair out.
Adam Trachtenberg 3 years ago
Are you sure you have the latest x-particles update I just tried here and my file opens fine in R14. As far as the snow density goes, the key is to use the filling option in the x-particles material. [more]

Hi Adam, thank you for your continued help.

My client is happy with the look of this but we will need to scale the particles down significantly. I was wondering if you would be interested in me paying you to add the snow after I finish the scene and the animations. If so, what would you charge? It would be much less expensive that way as I am not sure I would need the plugin very often in the future.
Adam Trachtenberg 3 years ago
Hi Jon, I'm game to do it, but to be honest it would probably be more expensive for me to do it as it could take a day or two of tweaking to get a satisfactory result. At my standard rate of $450 day [more]

Thanks Adam, that is a hefty price and very inspirational - a bit less than twice what I make a day. How long have you been doing this I am gonna dive in and hopefully need to use the plug-in a ton of [more]
