Save Nulls and Shape layers to be brought into another file
by Adam Koubek 1 year ago
I made myself a simple ruler in after effects and would like it to be easily accessible at any time in any project. I'm just starting with expressions so not quite sure how to save things out. The rul

Twixtor the Un-Twixtorable?
by Adam Koubek 6 years ago
This is the shot I have to work with. For obvious reasons, twixtor doesn't like it. My thoughts are that I can mask out the runner then render him out (because I'm pretty sure Twixtor ignores masks),

Your method will work unless you have Twixtor Pro, you can just import the mask that you are roto'ing and use that in Twixtor Pro. You can watch this tutorial on how to use a mask in Twixtor Pro http:

It would help to know precisely what you're trying to accomplish. I understand that you thought you described it adequately, but knowing a more about the frame rates and speeds you want to achieve wil

I have a Twixtor related question. This is the footage I have. For obvious reasons (Fence) Twixtor has some serious deformations happening. My thoughts are that I'll have to roto out the runner. Proba [more]

Hey all, I have twixtor related question. I have a shot where a guy runs past a fence, which is an obvious problem right there. A lot of deformation happens when I twixtor. I'm thinking about rotoing out the runner, then I believe I'll have to render that out because I don't think twixtor recognizes masks, then I'll place the twixtored footage on a plate I have of the scenery (also twixtored). My question, is this a logical solution, or is there a better way to get around the problem? I appreciate any suggestions.

This is what the footage looks like. I'll also isolate the bottom of the feet -which isn't effected by the fence- and twixtor that on its own and match the two.

Changing color of a moving object?
by Adam Koubek 7 years ago
I have a scene where I need to change the color of a moving object from brown to black. It's only a part of a scene so I was thinking masking and possibly a tracked adjustment layer is the way to go.

Keying was unfortunately not an option because the color of the ground was almost identical to the color of the boots. Plus the quality of the footage is really bad. I used the Roto Brush, but the pro
Keying an object using a matt??

I've seen this done but can't for the life of me figure out how it's done. If I have a stable footage, where only the object I want to key out is moving, can I somehow use the still image of the backg

Thanks a bunch. I'm just trying to avoid a whole bunch of roto and this should absolutely help out. Thanks again. -Nack-
