Hi, I tested Sony EX3 in split screens and intercut with a Sony F900R and the results are stunning. ONly in 720p Slowmo 60p mode will you see a softer image. In Full Res you see almost no difference.

Hi, I was asked to clarify this thread at the top. The problem has been solved. There is no Long Gop Issue or motion blur problem. The shutter of the camera was turned OFF which means it was at 1 25th

1080 50i and 1080 25p have exactly the same data rate, 100 megabits. The FireStore records every mode: DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50 and DVCPRO-HD, in every frame rate. The bitrate of 1080 footage is always 10

Just for your information The Sony Camera you mention does not record in Slowmotion. It can only do 24p in 1080x1920 The Varicam can record slowmotion (60p) but the resolution is not as good as it is

Whoa- this is DV day isn't it The downconverts look as great as any standard DV camera. That said, you can always shoot on tape for everything DV and then simply 720p for your slowmo shots if you want
