Are there parameter controls for a text layer's bounding box?

Are there parameter controls for the bounding box applied to a text layer If there is, it's not located in the text layer's twirl down. If you're wondering why I'd want parameter controls, it's becaus

Appreciate your reply but as far as I know the bounding box has nothing to do with neither scale or rotation. Maha Mohtaseb Freelance Graphic & Motion Designer www.MahaMohtaseb.com Maha@MahaMohtaseb.c

Is there an equivalent of After Effects' "Live Update" option in C4D?
by Maha Mohtaseb 10 months ago
Does C4D have an equivalent option to After Effects' "Live Update", which allows the display of the entire scene to temporarily be viewed in wireframe, ONLY while adjusting an object's property parame

nothing automatic I am aware of (other than the setting for if the frames per second gets too low which is not what you want) but you can change display modes with a keyboard shortcut -- by default 'L

New to C4D, how can I create a text bounding box?
by Maha Mohtaseb 11 months ago
I'm fairly new to C4D (using R13, if it makes a difference). I'm trying to figure out how to make a text bounding box. If someone could tell me exactly how, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Yea, I have to admit I'm very surprised, but the Illustrator suggestion is great-- thanks for sharing, Jeremy.
Where to install third party Plugins/Generators/Object files on a Mac?

plugins almost always have a read me file which has instructions for installation but that's almost always to put it in the Plugin folder. Not many have textures but the few I've seen keep the texture

Still unable to render scenes with lights after 16 GB ram upgrade

I just upgraded to 16 GB on my macbook pro, and I'm seeing a huge improvement in speed performance. However I'm still unable to render out a Comp that contains lights. I'm trying to export a 10 second

Hi Brian, Thanks for your input, I'm not really using much effects- The collapsed precomps contain mainly shape layers, text, and 1 or 2 vector artwork layers. Almost all layers in the main comp have

Has anyone maxed out a MacBook Pro with 16GB ram?

As you know Apple will only upgrade MacBook Pros to 8GB but has anyone maxed out at 16 (which is possible aftermarket) Was it useful Did you see better performance in AE and other programs I've heard

I have. Using my MB for After Effects and C4D mainly, I have yet to see major performance increase from 8GB. Perhaps it was already fast because of two SSD's. No issues with processor though. Would I

Does using a small masked area of a video the same as using the entire video, as far as rendering speed/performance goes?

In my timeline I have several duplicates of the same video, all in the same time frame. However each duplicate masks out a different area on the video. Does AE perform better than if each duplicate ha

I'm not sure if it affects render times. If the shot allows, you could try putting all the masks on the same layer for comparison. Just fool around with the mask modes until it's right. Dave LaRonde S
Dragged and dropped MacHD to backup externalHD- why is it copying twice onto the external?

Because the copy is following the mountpoint for the now growing external drive. Your external drive is mounted onto the root (internal) filesystem as Volumes MyOtherDrive. Basically, it copied all of
How ram-intensive is C4d?

I want to start getting into C4D but don't know how much ram it requires. I know AE is crazy for ram, but I haven't heard much said about C4D's RAM usage. My assumption's always been it uses more than
Re: How ram-intensive is C4d?

The short answer is that you will be fine 99% of the time with 8GB ram. You may want more if you use huge textures and tons and tons of high-poly objects in a single scene. You'll know you have a prob

In order for the camera to read the correct depths, do not use masks on layers in your main NOR in your collapsed precomp's layers. This shouldn't be an issue because you can just pre-precomp the mask
