Not stupidity... they are dumping a product that had only niche appeal for one that they think they can sell more of to a broader market. That is Apple's over-all business plan now... get rid of niche

Playback was set to 10 bit. Not sure who did that. Going back to the correct 8 bit setting and everything is normal. Duh. Sorry to waste your time fellows. I appreciate the efforts to help. jason

The best framerate for multi-format mastering is 23.98p. Since the project is going to 3 formats that would probably be best for your project. Master at 1280x720 23.98p and everything else is downconv
