Usually these are error from recordable discs. I always submit DDP images on pens drives. Do that and another set of recordables and see what happens

The first question is how long the piece is If its more then 2.75 hrs you WILL need to go to DL.....no way around this since the bitrates will be too low for even mediocre quality

It can be done with tools like After Edit and a number of PC DVD editing tools but unless you know the ins and outs of the DVD spec you're going to screw things up. I did something like this long ago

Impossible.....everybody has there own standard practices. Now there are better, more efficient ways to do some things but you need to be more specific.

If youre watching it interlaced, then its probably a moire effects from interlacing. Smaller objects and certain patterns will cause this.

You have progressive video so just confirm it to 23.98 using a tool like Cinema Tools. Timcodes are just numbers

Preview mode is not the real world. DVD was not meant to have button sounds. What your doing will often be ackward since it must go through a set of abstraction layer code plus the laser must mechanic

Encore doesn't come anywhere close to DVDSP in functionlity. The only option is keep using DVDSP or head over to PC and buy DVD Lab or Scenarist.
