Ah. If I remember correctly you can do this only to clips in the project panel that aren't already in a sequence.

Choose H264 from the dropdown menu and choose a high enough profile and level. Then TYPE the values in to the resolution settings because AME might freak out if you drag it to an invalid value.

Conforming "flattened" media is something that daVinci has done since it was "Renaissance", and we were doing tape2tape. Try consulting the new (excellently-detailed) V9 manual from about page 156 --

Have you checked out Prelude yet It would help transcoding sending stuff to Premiere that Resolve doesn't support before you edit.
