I would advise USB 3 or TB drives.. USB2 is very slow with 50 mbps UDF files.. this will further upset your DP.. actually I think most DP,s do their own down loading unless there is a data wrangler ..

Do you have the camera with you.. or down load a manual.. see if there is any where in the menu to change from NTSC to PAL.. UK is 50Hz so PAL wont give you any flicker at 25p... any decent pro monito

Are your disc,s locked when you are down loading.. with my type 1 SXS cards.. if i down load with the write record tab on.. all the files are locked in Browser.. pull the tab and they are all unlocked

It would be wise just to do a test rather then take someones word for it. Ive seen issues with XDcam but there are so many variants I cant say if you would have the same experience. Best to test. Tom

Thanks for all the advise. Yes if the 7D was the main and only camera it would be a different.. but TBH Ive found that judgung by the screen and eye has been totally fine.Its a very controlled scene..

You may have to do Blk balance a few times.. also close the close right down to blk and see if you see a tiny white spot.. Dirt on the front element is more lively to be like a smudge.. than a tiny pi

Longer the lens and wider open the aperture will make focus more critical .. When the subject is 60 feet away the focus will be less critical till the subject is close by.. So you could start wide -is

Zacuto do a very good EVF.. from the HDMI plug.. which is ofcourse the weak point .. a few companies have been clever and seen a market for EVF with these camera,s that can be used for profession work

nano is also 8 bit,but you,ll be able to bump up the Mbps thats for sure.. nano is a good bit of gear and very small and light.. I can see them being used alot on this Camera and the pana version..
