The original HD-Link SDI to DVI box had settings to make EDID and refresh work with different LCD monitors. You should check the BMD settings for the MiniMonitor but it might not support refresh rate

If it is light grey I think that means it is the original HD-Link which is dual link but only 8-bit output and I don't think it was 2K capable just 1080. Also you might have to adjust some of the HD-L
