Plenty of users run old versions of Photoshop or After Effects and are quite happy doing so. I see lots of CS5 installations (and older) all over town. I get that CC is potentially a really good deal

If you have FCS3 also installed, trash all prefs for both sets of apps. Launch the old Motion first to re-establish paths to the old FCP7. Then launch FCP7. If these two open fine, then you should be

I wouldn't trust the accuracy of the H264 files in Resolve, even if it can read the codec. It's not a professional production format, meaning you may or may not have TC and reel issues, which Resolve

Another option is to use Custom Sift. Go through a bin in list view. Create a custom column and add an "x" by any clip that you want. Use Custom Sift to filter for "x" in that custom column. Then view

You're welcome. I've also done some testing with the ProRes "Film" files John Brawley has posted. I'm not sure if he generated these in-camera or through Resolve. They look identical to the DNG files
