did you export your entire project as XML that can be quite huge even an XML of you entire 55min timeline could choke. i would recommend copying your SUBTITLES ONLY into a new sequence, and exporting

there's a trick i use for this sort of thing: on the track above your video, put a frame of text over the glitch frame then put 3.23 of slug after that. now copy that and paste 10 times, copy those 10

sounds lie you're trying to use the tv as an OUTPUT.. capturing FROM the tv. are you hooked up to an HDMI OUTPUT from the tv otherwise there could be copy-protect issues nick
