the FCP preset, while labeled 24p, has a frame rate of 23.98. you need to duplicate the pre-set, change the frame rate to 24, and use that to export. cheers, nick

did you export your entire project as XML that can be quite huge even an XML of you entire 55min timeline could choke. i would recommend copying your SUBTITLES ONLY into a new sequence, and exporting

no need to nest. open Matte Color, make it white. type in duration in duration field (top left of viewer or canvas), edit into timeline add a transition on the head (Park on head, Apple T) drag it out

there's a trick i use for this sort of thing: on the track above your video, put a frame of text over the glitch frame then put 3.23 of slug after that. now copy that and paste 10 times, copy those 10
