Its possible that the problem clip is somehow corrupt. What happens if you try importing it into FCP directly at normal speed If that works perhaps export it as a new clip and try that one in Compress

Hi Merge clips is usually pretty straightforward. Obviously you use it to merge separate audio and video files into a single clip. You simply highlight the audio and video clip that you wish to merge.

Hi Enrico It would be a mistake to use your internal OS drive to store media and 5400 RPM is not quick enough. You need 7200 rpm as a minimum but again a single internal drive won't run 6 HD streams.

Craig Hirshberg "Overall, what are your experiences with AJA Kona and Avid Media Composer 6" I use a Kona 3 card and have been quite a bit of testing with Avid V6.01 I have found it to work very well
