Philippe, you skipped over the very important 1st step and that is "Start by bringing up the Render As Window in Vegas Pro using: File Render As and select QuickTime 7 (*.mov) as the Output Format..."

Render to mp4 like oyu always do and then just change the extension from .mp4 to .mov I've done this numerous times and no one has caught on yet :)

Options - Preferences - Editing and adjust the length in the box as shown below. This screenshot is from Vegas Pro but it should be very similar to what you have.

DVD authoring in Vegas requires an MPEG-2 file for your video and an AC-3 file for your audio. I hope that you have DVD Architect as these steps assume that you do. Give both files the same name and r

Using an audio envelope to lower the volume (a lot) is your best choice. Try it again and lower it even more than you already have.

You don't say what version of Vegas you're using or what format you're rendering to. The usual recommendation is to use the Internet 720 or 1080 preset found under the MainConcept or Sony AVC mp4 temp

The files are wmv format. Also, when it's playing that part of the clip, the RAM is only using about 1GB, so I don't think it's that. So it's the processor or graphics card
