You should be fine. Populating your bin from the Media Tool is one way to do it. Basically it's the master clip with the following metadata: TAPE START END Whatever else is there is generated by Media

24.00 is more troublesome in an NTSC world of 29.97. The difference between 24 and 23.976 is the same as 30 and 29.97 (FPS x (1000 1001)) That is why the rate is 23.976 - it also allows for continuous

Agreed, matching different frame rates to look the same is nearly impossible if not impossible due to motion resolution, and other factors in the image. Always match frame rates as well as progressive
