Just check to make sure that you are using the Panasonic RS-422 device control settings. Like any deck you should also calibrate it to make sure that you are getting accurate pulls & layoffs. I use a

When you say the LCD doesn't show you the whole pic, do you mean that it's too light, too dark, too compressed, etc I've heard about issues with dropout using DV tape and seeing compression on fast mo

I actually use two old ATA drives that I striped over two FW800 external cases - but I just use it as a backup and archive drive. I agree with Mitch - SATA drives striped are the way to go for 10bit U
