When you share using compressor you can select the specific region you want via IN and OUT points in the preview window. It's an alternative to creating compound clips and multiple projects. ---------

It seems that as long as the original metadata matches exactly, this should work. However, if the files were modified in any way (say by opening them in an Adobe product) this fails to work. I'm glad

Actually, that is not true. The earliest version of the operating system you can place on most machines is the version that shipped with it. Otherwise it will Kernel panic upon boot up. --------------

There is a Lookup called "Promo Producers", that is what it is using. You need to add names and values to that lookup. I had to quit the client and log back in before it would see the updated settings
