If you are in Proxy Mode, and share from FCPX straight, it will render out as Proxy. Not sure if this is also the case when sending to Compressor... I would guess not, but I could be wrong.

In my experience, no. I sent feedback to Apple about this, together with other enchancements that I hope they bring in relation to FCPX, timecode and the Dashboard hubs.

You are confusing 2 commands: - Detaching audio: where indeed, the audio file becomes green, and the only way to get it back with the video again is compounding it again. Also, if your audio and video
FCPX is so completely weird, it makes Motion look sane. And no one will hire you by the hour for either of them.

As for FCP X vs. Legacy, yeah, legacy has more depth as far as integration with workflows and other tools, but it just doesn't seem like a professional tool in todays world so what's the point I mean,
