As David said: everything is okay, as long as you have audio and or timecode on both cameras. This is normal practice, so I suppose that isn't a problem What you do is, you select the long clip and go

Yes. The new prices of their Pro software (this is true to both Logic and FCPX) seem to be the same as the old upgrade pricings were for those packages (or cheaper). So in a way, yes, you have to pay

As for FCP X vs. Legacy, yeah, legacy has more depth as far as integration with workflows and other tools, but it just doesn't seem like a professional tool in todays world so what's the point I mean,
