Two things: Create a new event located somewhere other than your local drive. This way no matter what you do your local drive is left out of the mix. Or, uncheck "Copy files to FCP Events folder " upo

correction. my HD studio cards have XLR audio and deck control. so that is a decent plus. Correct me if I'm wrong but the HD studio is essentially a Deckilink SP card and an Intensity rolled into one
