I'd just blame "ghosts in the machines" as there really can be no definitive answer as to why some clips work and some don't with the same settings. My only though is to deliver a more compatible form

I haven't work in Media Composer since 1999, but I assume the CC tools haven't changed much. I really like Colorista II's power mask, secondary and master HSL tool. I assume Avid doesn't have these.

Just a slight correction: the audio fixing only applies if you used the Cinema Tools option. Compressor will vari-speed the audio for you while keeping the correct sample rate.

Noise will help blend the gradients together, but it require too much "noise". You also may want to have a look at "Magic Bullet DeNoiser".

Final Cut Pro isn't cut out for this type of conversion. Try Compressor. In the video settings tab, select the codec (ProRes I hope) and change the frame rate to custom 23.976. Select the audio tab an

Well, 2K is soft from RED One, since that's only around 1.6 K true resolution from a Bayer-pattern sensor. One should never shoot 2K other than for slo-mo. But OTOH, RED is not applying any in-camera

The Windows Media computer must have DVD playback software codecs installed first before Windows Media Player will play back a DVD. (WinDVD etc...)
