it sounds like rotobrush is working the way it's designed. Rotobrush requires you to work in increments of 10 frames, check the roto, then work 10 more frames. You can change the span, but I wouldn't

Make a large composition 2x width to height(2000 x 1000) and name it Pictures. Arrange the pictures into the composition. Create your final comp and drag Pictures into it and apply Perspective - CC Sp

You could use the ease expression to limit the min and max of the zoom. Ease takes an input(in this case both channels) that has numbers from say 0 to 12 and converts them to other numbers say from 0

What you want to do is use the custom particles feature. To do this with random letters, you would need to make a 26 frame composition 150 x 150(or so) and place a letter. Apply a text animator-offset
