I've just been researching this myself. It seems you can't output closed captioning through a Kona from Avid, you need the Nitris for this. We output all our shows from FCP 7 through Kona 3s to HDcam

People often confuse frame rate with drop frame, assuming that 23.98 is drop frame and 24 is non drop frame. FCP doesn't provide 23.98 drop frame as a time code option. This isn't an issue unless you'

I would add that if you have the Zoom recorder, have it record the room sound on just using it's internal mic. Position it right in front of the Sound board as that's usually the suite spot for audio.

Hi Isaac That is correct, you have to keep the whole file structure in the PRIVATE folder intact. You can delete clips while the card is in the camera as the metadata will be correctly updated. Cheers
