Problem seemed to have solved itself, shortly after. Can't recall what all I did in trying to scope this out, but it's working fine now. Sorry I can't be of help here.

Thanks, guys. This wasn't for DVD but simply to play a file on my computer out through an LCD projector, and I wanted to convert a 1080p file down to 1024x576, to match the resolution of the projector

That's what I ended up doing, deleting it all and starting over, and it worked. Don't know why how it got stuck on that. But just recreated the menu and the problem disappeared. Thanks.
