Sorry, yes, CatDV Server is on a Mac Xserve. AD is on a separate Windows system. Open Directory is not being used and is not activated in the server admin panel. HandyGeek

The timecode track is handled by the encoding software, not the codec. I use Compressor on Macs, so that's little help to you - but it does carry through the timecode track as well as burns in the tim

You don't have to, but it will simplify management of the XSAN volumes for permission inheritance. They'd better know what they are doing, though. There is a good amount of documentation for this proc
