A workaround is to use Xto7 to export a project XML from FCP X into FCP 7, or even 6 which I'm using, and then use the batch export function from the older version.

You're right, its better to first fix color before adding the Broadcast Safe filter so everything goes through it in the right order. I'll try out the RGB limiter next time. Thanks.
