Auto-detect erratic movement in clips and cut out?

Any DSLR filmmaker that films events will know what I mean - you have wobble, focus problems, erratic momvement at the beginning and the end of a clip when filming in the field. You'll have to cut tho

Yea, me neither - but after seeing the numerous "stabilizing" (CS 5.5, FCP) ... I thought there would be some genius creating a detection algorythm.

I just created a 3D layer in AE applied a mask and rotated it and the mask rotated in 3D and moved properly in Z space. Is that the workflow you used Or did you create your masks another way
