1. FCP is changing to the correct sequence settings when you drop a clip into it. JVC uses the same MPEG2 codec that Sony uses, and that's because Sony actually licenses the XDCAM EX codec to JVC. 2.

This also happened to me and I thought it was because I did something wrong. I fixed it by restarting both the Mac and SFM2013. Then the proxies started being created in the background without any fur
