Try transcoding them to a ProRes animation lossless format either through something like MPEG Streamclip or after effects. Both of those programs open broken and corrupt video files quite well Motion

Hi, Within Quicktime make sure in the preferences 'enable final cut studio color' is ticked. It may off been deselected with an update Also just to make sure - are you changing color space depth codec
