The only issue I've seen around Quicktime recording on Windows is quality based. There's nothing I can think of that would cause that kind of failure rate offhand. Make sure you're using Wirecast 4.2.

Make sure you're not importing a setting from version 5 into version 6.4. In Episode 6.4 select File Import and then select the .epitask file. It will import into the User Encoders.
