premiere doesn't support color management. To get it to play nicely, you have to burn in the same color management you set your monitor to with AE's color profile converter.

i think your best bet is to use a temporary cgi stand-in. 1. motion track the actor in full 3 track, then insert a basic low res 3d cgi model into the footage. animate its motion parts to your desire.

Since you have a very limited color palate, I recommend when you do all your tinting, that you don't tint the actor's skin in with everything else. I wrote a small ae project called 2 strip. It works

few things I noticed. He shot most of it during magic hour, right before the sun goes down. he shot very even lighting, possibly diffused, then tinted brown 10% overall and the framerate was possible
