@Andreas, I found an interesting quirk in the calculations for one file - and managed to crash the script several times. I'm good at that. :) One of the files is a NDF NTSC30 file from a 5D. It shows

Try on eBay. You might be able to get a student version of FCS2, which I wouldn't ordinarily recommend, but in your case it makes sense.

One video card will support two monitors. You might be in for a world of the spinning beach ball of death as well as other random conflicts if you mix video cards. Your X1900 should support 2 monitors

Once you get it out of Compressor, you might need some help with the authoring process in DVD Studio Pro. You might want to consider buying the Pro Training Series Manuals for DVDSP, Compressor, etc.
