Codec packs mess up your system. Only way to get rid of is to do a clean instal starting with Windows. Never install a codec pack, just the codec you need like e.g mjpeg or cineform. -----------------

If you shot the video using the 16:9 DV mode of the camera, then capture using the DV PAL widescreen preset in Premiere. It sounds like you wish to deliver a 4:3 format since you said you desire lette
