Hi Andrew,

First I like to say that your tutorials have been a great help in understanding Premiere Pro.I rarely
read manuals since it will put me to sleep but your tutorials are easy to follow along. Question, could you possibly explain the new Technicolor Cinestyle work flow within Premiere Pro 5? There are some tutorials online but it's more about installing Cinestyle Profile and a breif expalantion on LUT. I'm sure there are lots of users like myself who would like to see a demo on how to color correct within Premiere
Pro 5 using the new Cinestyle Profile for DSLR's. Here's a short explanation on LUT I found online
http://nofilmschool.com/2011/05/what-is-a-look-up-table-lut-anyway/
What's confusing to me is towards the end Jay Friesen in his article says that "it’s best to remove it
(LUT plugin) for final color grading and rely on your properly calibrated monitor." I will pass this email to
Richard Harrington as well. Hopefully one of you can explain it.

Hi Todd, hope all is going well at NAB and you're having a good time launching CS5.5.

Sorry to bother you with this but I've searched around on the forum to find an answer to this but can't seem to get anything that works and wondered if you could suggest anything?

I'm rendering out from AE and my RAM is running out and causing AE to crash. Basically, the problem get worse the bigger the outout file type. Smaller codecs cope with my 4G (Laptop) but bigger codecs use it all us and it crashes.

I've tried disabling rendering multiple frame and I've got to the 'secret' preference and disabled layer cashe and changed the frame number to 10.

But still, RAM use goes up and up and it crashes. I was also getting the 'needs more than 2 frames for RAM preview' and that seemed to go away when I disabled render-multiple frames in the preferences. But I can't see why RAM use is going up so fast and why it should fail.

PS - I have updated to 10.0.2

Any help would be greatly appreciated

AVIs doing it now, but they are complex comps, so I think it has something to do with a link between the complexity of the comp render and the memory use ... any comments welcome :o)

Hi Todd
I noticed what I think is an error in PP in the YC waveform monitor in PAL settings. The mV range should be 0 to 714 (which is what Color Finesse and Test Gear use in AE) while PP uses the range 0.1 to 1.0 (you can see this by using the colour bars to calibrate).

Is this an error or am I missing something?

Thanks
