Steady now. You have ruined the quality by picking the DV codec. Open and edit in MPEG Streamclip (free app on the web) and then, and only then, when you have what you need, demux in this amazing app

Low data rate = lower quality. Look at a DVD9 (single side double layer). It will give you about twice the capacity, so you can up the data rate. It's not rocket science, look in this forums archives

Only some players will play PAL authored DVDs. If you are shooting PAL, and want to make an NTSC DVD, then you have to convert your media to NTSC first, then set NTSC prefs in DVDSP and author. Neithe

You should be using Compressor to make your m2v files, more control etc. But 250 minutes of clips no way on a SL DVD5. Cheers Alexander
