You can download Avid codecs and export as Avid files from FCP. Just download the "free for 30 day media composer" and install. Select the Avid codec of your choice and export. Thanks, AL J. Marschke

Make sure all your external monitoring kit is plugged in before you run STP. In STP go to the Window menu and scroll down to "layouts' Select standard to make sure you have all the right windows open.

The hardware settings seem to change automatically to mojo when it is connected and back to 1394 when disconnected. The audio project settings for hardware cannot be changed manually. Still stumped.Th

What drives are you using and how are they connected This may seem very obvious but next time it happens try hitting the ESC key. You might accidentally be in a mode that prohibits the normal playing

I'm using the FS-4 Pro HD. In the quicktime mode it took in a 45 second clip in about 5 seconds or less. In raw dv it brought the clip in just as fast but the media show it was missing. I re-imported
